Definite prices cannot be quoted until we see your pet. Our prices are very reasonable and start at $16 for small dogs baths and haircuts begin at $33.

About Groomingdales

Groomingdale's has been serving the Ghent area of Norfolk for over 30 years. It originally opened as "Shirley's Poodle Parlor" and then was purchased by Debra McClenney and renamed "Deb's Poodle Parlor" In the 1990's it was purchased by Bev Hyde and was renamed Gromingdale's. Pam, a former employee of Bev's who has been grooming pets in the local area since 1977, purchased the shop from Bev in 200 and the "Groomingdale" name has stuck. Our staff strives to make your pet's grooming experience a happy and safe one. We are family owned and operated to give your pet loving, quality care. We like to have all of our little guys and gals in the shop between 8am and 10am, that way we know who we have, what they are getting, and we can schedule our day accordingly. Normally, the first pet in is the first to go home (unless it is huge one, or extremely hairy or that will take a bit of work) so if you need your pet by a certain time be sure to let us know.
Haircuts normally take a few hours. What happens is your pet gets its initial 'rough' haircut, which means the excess hair is removed. After that your pet gets a bath. After all that is done he goes to the person who does the drying and the toenails and the brushing and teeth brushing and all of that other fun stuff. After that, its back up front to the grooming table for the final haircut. It's a fairly busy day for your little one, so don't be surprised if he naps.
