Awesome Food/Family Atmosphere

Posted by Guest G. on 7/12/2009

Best Pizza in Norfolk, Greek Specialties, Food always hot and traditionally cooked. Great menu choices. Large Restaurant Side with Family Atmosphere, Kids GameRoom. Seperate Sports Bar, Wall sized TV's, and Pool Tables. Something for everyone in the family. The Yarborough Family's favorite gathering place!

Great for all kinds of interests

To the lady who said they need a separate door so you don't have to go through the sports bar- well they do! You must not have seen it. Food is very good, especially gyros and other great Greek favs. You can go with the family and sit on restaurant side, or go to watch a game on the bar side. Usually brisk business all days of the week. Support a long standing family owned restaurant- it's been in the area FOREVER!

Great casual place to eat

They have GREAT food...from pasta (the alfredo is great) to pizza (outstanding) to salad to steak. Delicious Greek food. Really great prices. There is a game room for the kids (arcade type games and such). If you are a sports nut there are like 20 TV's always playing the latest games. There are smoking AND truly non-smoking sections (so bring your kids). The restaurant area is very family friendly. The bar area is very drinker friendly. Love it.

Azalea Inn

Azalea Inn is a great restaraunt. The food is fantastic and the prices are reasonable. The service is fast and friendly. They have alot of regular customers who frequent there. I recommend the mouth watering pizza or the mozzerella sticks. They are absolutely to die for. There is a wide variety of items on the menu. This restaraunt can best be described as an oldie but goodie.

Depends on what time of day you go

Personally, I think the Azalea Inn is okay. Like any establishment, thet have their ups and downs. Lets start w/ the postive.Great food- they have lots of reasonably priced food. Several different types of salads, subs, pizza is awesome. They have a full service bar, an arcade (that is truly an arcade). All in all, it's a nice, comfortable family atmoshphere (besides one little flaw, which brings me to the negative).Way tooooo much empasis on the sports bar. Come on, to get to the dinig area, you have to through the bar! My family doesn't drink, and we certainly don't like taking our 2 yr old and 10 month old through a bar when we want a pizza. Can you say seperate entrance??!! My husband doesn't like to patronize this place for that one simple reason. There you have it, lots of good; one bad. You decide.
