A major museum dedicated to the visual arts, the Chrysler Museum of Art holds more than 30,000 art pieces, including sizable American and European painting collections, decorative glass works and art dating back over 5,000 years. With pieces drawn from nearly every major historical period of art and from all around the world, the museum supplements its collection with special visiting exhibitions. One of the attractions in Norfolk's downtown Ghent neighborhood, the museum also manages the nearby Moses Myers House.
